On DragonTalk, they said that the premise was that stories of these "legendary" dungeons were spoken about in the Yawning Portal inn. Some folk were asking about how the Greyhawk adventures would tie in with the realms. I can see more anthologies like this being released in the future, and I reckon that is fantastic!
